Professional Qualifications
- Customer service oriented, aptitude, and solid communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage day to day IT operations. Ensuring issues are handled in an effective manner that best utilizes the resources of the department.
- 5 years of experience working within an IT Dept.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and administer Windows Server 2008 systems, including systems in a VMware environment.
- Ability to administer Exchange Server(s).
- SharePoint Installation and Site Collection Administration.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks that often have competing agendas and timelines.
- Organized and Professional demeanor.
- Being able to follow supervisor’s instructions.
Technical Requirements
- Hands on management and troubleshooting of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Group Policy, Exchange 2010, SharePoint & Windows Server management and support including upgrades and installations
- Hands on experience managing or troubleshooting network equipment. Maintain and monitor local and wide area networks including firewalls, routers, switches, SAN configuration, and VPN services.
- Maintaining documentation of server/desktop hardware and software (licensing and hardware spec audits)
- Set up of workstations, configuration of desktops.
- Managing Symantec Backup Exec
- Spam filter and virus monitoring support and management
- Daily support for users, including network issues, carriers services outages and general support
- Provide technical support for all employee including laptops, desktops
- Maintain and monitor local and wide area networks including firewalls, routers, switches, SAN configuration, and VPN services
- Support virtualized environments running on VMware Infrastructure
- Provide technical support for all employee including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Support software engineering IT needs including web server, database, source control, and application server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Support telecom systems including voice mail and switch maintenance
- Help define and maintain IT policies and procedures
