Oracle Financial Techno Functional – Newark, CA

Position Overview The candidate will be the Oracle techno-functional liaison between IT and business areas for the ERP system. The ERP footprint consists of Financials, Purchasing, Logistics, Order Management, and Manufacturing modules.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end support of the ERP system: business process owner support, training/troubleshooting support, and OOD system maintenance support.
  • Facilitate the month end and year end close process.
  • Gather user requirements to develop solutions/alternatives for different business areas.
  • Update the modules configuration based on growing business needs.
  • Drill down into transactions to help the business understand the information.
  • Develop and generate reports to help drive results and management decisions.
  • Drive best practices for the ERP modules to be audit and SOX compliant.
  • Work with other IT resources (MES, Data Collection, and Corporate IT) to understand how business unit specific data roll up into financial statements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with at least 10+ years of successful IT experience and at a minimum of 5 years background in manufacturing industries.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and optimizing Oracle EBS R12 application
  • Must have complete knowledge of accounting and manufacturing business processes and best practices.
  • Must have a foundational understanding of Oracle ERP applications – general accounting flows, and table structures of the Oracle financials, distribution and manufacturing suites.
  • Must have proficiency with Web ADI, SQL Developer, Oracle Workflow 2.5, XML Publisher, Discoverer 10G, Oracle Forms 6i (or higher) and Oracle Reports 6i (or higher).
